Yes. Aircraft are displayed from Stratux now (not published yet).
GDL90 protocol is implemented - for Wifi - UDP devices.

Today in Tunis, where I leave, being close to Tunis Airport, I tested ADSB-In using Stratux with Fly Is Fun

It works well !!!
Congratulation Petr

For those that already have a Stratux, the way to proceed is the following

1 – Start the Stratux until you get the green light

2 – on your Android device
- Wifi network chose “Stratux” (you may have to disactivate data connection)
There, you can check with your web browser if its work

- Launch Fly Is Fun

3 – within Fly Is Fun, make sure you can use the Stratux
Short press on the compass rose
Then select “Application settings” -> “Preferences” -> “External data source” -> “Wifi” -> “Stratux”
Within “Stratux” page, select “Use it”

Then back to moving map screen, where you can see aircrafts being around

Just great

For those that doesn’t have a Stratux, you can build it your self in less than 1 hour http://stratux.me/#parts-list for around US$ 150.- or buy one ready to use http://stratux.me/#pre-built-units for around US$ 240.-

Have fun and send some screen copies

Amazing! Thank you very much.

Will there be an option to choose which information will be displayed below the traffic (e.g. callsign, heading, squawk,..., possibly bearing and range from your position (or from a bullseye or other chosen points/vor/...))?

Thanks again.

best regards

- The artificial horizont is displayed only when Stratux has GPS fix.
- You can calibrate AHRS by long pressing the slip indicator at the bottom of the screen.
- If you want to see some information, tap the aircaft symbol.

I am currently testing an Android application called "SAFESKY".

It requires an active 3G/4G connexion to the server to get the positions of nearby aircraft equipped with ADS-B, Flarm, or Safesky and provides a kind of TCAS display. The use of 3G/4G means that it will probably not work at high altitudes, but the aim is to cover GND-4500ft.

There is a pay (premium) version, but also a free version that provides all the basic functions.
It is free for obvious reasons: more users mean a better coverage of the traffic.

Currently, split screen is needed to see both SAFETSKY and FlyIsFun together.
However, the authors plan to allow for an integration with GPS softwares.
Not sure this will be free, however.

In theory, all that is really needed is to be able to use a local ip address and port.

Using the RTL-SDR driver (https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... _tcp_andro) you'd simply connect to locahost 127.0.0.1 and port 14423.

If only you didn't need the Wifi to connect to, or supported localhost, then we may get it running quicker.

great cheap addon for everyones safety

Just to let everyone know I purchased a uAvionicx Skyecho 2 device for my plane.

Currently in Australia, you can apply for a 50% rebate from the government to go towards such a purchase.
https://uavionix.store/general-aviation ... /skyecho-2

This works perfectly with Fly Is Fun and shows we all I need to know.

This device also includes a TS0-C199 certified GPS and a barometric Altitude sensor.

FiF says it'll accept the GPS input thru GDL90, and I'm wondering if this solves the issue of background GPS usage for FiF.

Would also be good if FIF accepted the baro altitude values as well, so can include in instruments for the tablet I have without baro sensr.
