How to switch off navigating?

I set "Direct to" to an airport and I want to stop the navigation. Even if I use Menu>Navigate>Stop route navigation, the blue line conneting me to the airport is still always there. How can I delete it? I can change it to Navaids or anything but I want to switch it off now.

I also set a CRS and now I can not get rid of it. How can I do that?

He means that it would be nice to have navigation and GPS ON but no waypoint selected, using FIF as moving map.
For example while free flying, turning to any point as needed, using FIF only as a tool to show where you are, and where you go, on the map, no need to point to specific spot.
Its useful, and simple option. Because having lines and tracks pointing to a waypoint you don't really need is distracting.
Maybe Stop NAV1 navigation along with others. Should be simple enough.
