terrain files

HI all,

I am using the trial version.

I have downloaded 1.7Gb of srtm_**_**.asc files. I am trying to import them using import and download -> import srtm file. All files correspond to south and west coordinates.

After selecting the file, the dialog box "Importing elevation data ..." appears and slowly proceed with the counting to 6000.
After several minutes it desapears and nothing else happens. There is no terrain map displayed after
that.

any help is appreciated,

Hi,

I managed to get complete downloads now. I freed the ram in my device before starting.
Still have a few import fails tough. I see an error message concerning the file itself: "import error = bad file header". One example of unsuccessful import is the file srtm_26_18.asc. It unzipped nicely before it was uploaded to the device.

I tryed again using the file download interface and got the remaining srtm tiles.
Really nice software. Just bought the unlocker.

I am also having trouble downloading terrain files. The download manager appears to go through the process without any error meassages but there is nothing listed as downloaded. Attempting to download and import the file manually gives me an error:

import error: bad header

OK, problem solved by upgrading to the latest version.... 11.41
