Metar around map pointer, regardless gps

Hi,

I don't know if this has been suggested before, but here we go:
When planning or preparing a flight before gps fix, it would be nice to be able to download metar/taf from nearby the map pointer instead of my gps location.

Also, it would be great if we had an option to get the metar/taf for any airport either by clicking on it on the map (menu item) or from the nav database menu's. With and without gps fix.

Of course setting the QNH from this metar as usual.

Hi Holton,

I believe all features you are requesting/suggesting are available …

1 - METARs and TAFs for a point
-> Long tap on any point of the map
-> select “Nearest”
Then
-> select “METARs and TAFs” around
and you get them

2 – METARs and TAFs for planned route
Open “Routes” library
-> Long tap on “planned route name”
-> select “METARs and TAFs” around
and you get them

if you have no Internet connection you get “METAR download error” message but you can display previous displayed data

3 – Adjusting QNH
Once you get METARs info for a point
-> Long tap on displayed QNH value
-> select “Adjust QNH”

I should have known, been playing with the long-tap menu many times, must have forgotten
