As far as I know, on-board radar systems (e.g. Bendix king, Garmin) do not output their images in an open format, that can be read by FiF in real time.
Unfortunately, datalink radar products for aviation have heterogeneous availability. There are public (e.g. fis-b/nexrad) or by subscription aviation tailored services in some countries while others have nothing available.
Some weather sites provide non-georeferenced radar images with limited coverage. Other common problem with those non-aviation products is coarse and/or delayed time sampling.
But yes, it would be great to have precip info displayed in FiF.
