This App is an annoying waste of time

I put in an airport to fly to and the app shows the distance to go and the heading etc. So far so good. Try to remove that airport and I can't.I have gone through the manual to no avail. I have come to the conclusion that the amount of time I have wasted in trying to get the app to work easily has made me realize that I should just use a proven system i.e. my Garmin 296. It always works and does not take anytime to set up. Fly-is-Fun is now uninstalled.

people have different opinions, habits, whatsoever...

But why being so harsh on something which might be beyond your means or capabilities? There are plenty of pilots (reaching from freetime pilots to professional jet pilots) using this "annoying waste of time" and are very happy with it. I am one of those.

Stay with your Garmin. It is also good, but sth. totally different. It is a pitty that you won't figure it out.

I completely disagree with you.

I have flown with dozens of EFBs and Garmins, and have used computer systems since they were a mix of a heater with a hole puncher. Can assure you wont find anything close to FiF in its class.

of course, the choice is yours.

I'll add an my unimportant opinion. Can I ?
In past I used Garmin 295, main different between Garmin 296 & 295 was, that 296 calculated with terrain (collision) and bigger number of WPT for route, if I remember right. In case collision with terrain ability, which not now in FiF exist (I believe in future ), is really 296 better as FiF. But in other ability, I'm afraid that FiF is little better - free data, not paid Jeppesen each month, pdf files with more details for (some) airports (unfortunately user must search alone and sometimes this activity not so simple), better look of maps and maps can be created in wanted quality by user, more settings to somehow customize apk and I think something more. Of course, if I remember right, easier way how increase capability of battery. Unfortunately how many people are "rich" to buy Garmin 550 Aero or 695/696/795, OK, why not, but who need this expensive and in same areas of the world not fully worked (weather) equipment ?

But - good topic - why buy FiF apk ...

550KTS and 45000'... Oceanic Navigation from LPBJ to LPLA (look it up)... ILS to the minimums completly inside clouds... and that's why FIF is so good!

Flying home in stormy conditions using only FIF - terrain view. The only one navigation device at my Extra is not working magnetic compass (it does not like snap rolls)
