RS232 NMEA výstup

Postby vikino » 01 Feb 2021, 13:21

Ahoj,

Me by stacilo NMEA RS232 :)

I also would very appreciate if FIF would be able to send NMEA data (GPS, Course, etc.) to an Autopilot via Bluetooth RS-232 converter.
This would be another beautifull improvement of FIF.

OK, we will switch to English...
AP required informations and sentences are: $GPRMC, $GPRMB, $GPGGA, and $GPBOD or $GPAPB.

Output specs found here: http://aprs.gids.nl/nmea/

By Garmin described here: https://www8.garmin.com/manuals/webhelp ... 8DD93.html

BT to RS232 converter should be enough this one: http://www.usconverters.com/rs232-seria ... rt-adapter

This would be TOP over SkyDemon which does not support this

And i would definitelly suggest to use BT over WiFi, as FiF supports virtual radar, weather, it will get offline from cellular data on devices with data SIM card inside, when connected to WiFi-RS232

I have just tested a free Android application called GPS2Bluetooth, coupling my smartphone GPS to my windows PC via bluetooth.
I think that it does what you are looking for.
The GPS position was useable on the PC (tested using Navigation/FouFou).

I also tested with another free app: GPS over BT

There is also a more complete app: "BlueTooth BPS", but only a 10' demo is free.

Hello,
is should be controlling AP, so only GPS position does not resolve problem, it would be nice to set on FiF NAV point or whole route and activate AP controlled by NMEA sentences from FiF.
I have found that Flybox Oblo has got launcher which lauches SkyDemon app and it is getting AP informations from Skydemon and they are able to control AP in Oblo...

This what im mentioning will be universal output from FiF via BT which gives posibility to connect it to older Dynon EFISes with AP, TruTrak AP....

Také by se mi líbilo ovládat rádio přes NMEA... Zároveň bych využil přenos GPS dat do odpovídače.
