Postby rotaxquax » 08 Apr 2019, 20:27

Hi guys,
switched my Fif to france map and
I don't see any holding pattern for france strips and cannot find any "switch"
My German ofm works perfect with all very good features.
Thanks for any idea.
cheers harry

Hello tonio,

Sorry for my bad English.
I meant with holding pattern --> traffic circuit.
So in German maps ( for instance OFM maps)
there are a lot of traffic pattern for almost any
air field.
My question is:
Are there this traffic circuit drawings
for France as well?
If yes, how to " Switch on" in the Fif software.

Best regards
harry

Hello Rotaxquak

Airports Pattern/Circuits (as ULM RWY and minor airfield RWY) are created users.
To share them can with the community, they can then send to Petr Kouril, which integrate them.
This what I did some years ago for some french ULM airfields

Airports Pattern/Circuits, RWY, airspaces are created using Google Earth then imported within FIF

For airports Pattern/Circuits, the creation procedure is described in chapter 22.1 of the user guide.
For RWY, the creation procedure is described in chapter 11.3

Almost “rectangular” Airports Pattern/Circuits, are easy to create
ex Left hand for RWY 11 AND right hand for RWY 29

But I didn’t find how to draw them and make them nice when all circuits are left hand (or all right hand)
ex Left hand for RWY 11 AND left hand for RWY 29

Try you will see, how easy it is

Enclose some example to use within Google Earth for PC https://www.google.com/intl/fr_ALL/eart ... wnload-pro

Have fun

Hi Tonio,

Thank you for your instructions.
But I guess there is a small misunderstanding.

For instance
The airfield LF7753 Bray sur Seine...
there are infos about ULM, landing directions (06 ...24)
and so on, but I cannot see any rectangular traffic pattern.
Is this the fact or do I do something wrong with
some Fif adjustments?
By the way
Happy eastern all

Hi Harry

For LF7753, you see the RWY, that were manually designed using Google Earth
ex attached
LF7753.kmz.zip
(1.37 KiB) Downloaded 281 times

then incorporated by Petr Kouril within FIF database

But you are right, there is no (rectangular) traffic pattern, as nobody did design them yet
or, if someone designed them, they are not yet incorporated within FIF database
Feel free designing them and sharing them with the community

Have nice and safe flights
