Skyvector HI,LO,VFR (maps)

Hi,

Im trying to get the VFR and Lo maps for Europe (mainly Greece), Ive downloaded SAS Planet and followed the procedure including changing the date etc in the params file but it appears Sky vector have changed something stopping SAS Planet accessing the tiles, do you know anyway to solve this, or do you have the maps saved somewhere I could download them from?

I just checked and mine and it is working as expected.
What version are you using?

Did you edit the THREE "SkyVectorWorldXXX.zmp/params.txt" files?
where XXX=VFR Hi Lo

The "DefURLBase=" line should look like this for this month in the three files:
DefURLBase=http://t1.skyvector.net/tiles/302/1312/

host t1.skyvector.net is resolving and is reacheable ?
$ host t1.skyvector.net
t1.skyvector.net has address 64.34.195.170
$ ping -c 1 t1.skyvector.net
PING t1.skyvector.net (64.34.195.170) 56(84) bytes of data.
64 bytes from skyvector.com (64.34.195.170): icmp_seq=1 ttl=53 time=732 ms

--- t1.skyvector.net ping statistics ---
1 packets transmitted, 1 received, 0% packet loss, time 0ms

(be aware they have a couple of servers. the IP you get will probably be different)

Hi all,

i've quite strange problem.

Opening SAS and putting in the sas.maps folder the folder SkyVectorWorldVFR.zmp with Params file modified, i get the LO map instead of the VFR one.

Any ideas?

DefURLBase should read:

Code: Select all

DefURLBase=http://t1.skyvector.net/tiles/301/1312/

instead of .../302/...

directory .../302/... is for World Lo tiles
and .../304/... is for World Hi tiles
