Troubles with application

"the world database is not found"

Hello, I have purchased a Sansung Note 9. My previous Galaxy S 7 has died. All the applications were installed when transferring my data from the previous phone. After this I had to download all the maps and databases again.
My problem is that when I start the application it tells me "the world database is not found".

I have tried to download it more than 20 times. I have installed and re-installed everything again but it remains the same.

Any ideas?

Hi Alofly

Did you install FIF via transfer or via Google Play Store?
I believe it should be installed via Google Play Store

Then check application update from the Play store to make sure that you are using latest FIF version
latest FIF version is version 21.40

If you are not using the latest version, database update could be blocked.


If FIF was properly installed and if you are using latest FIF version, you can still try resetting FIF default config

From the application
“Short press” on Compass Rose
then Application Setting
then Preferences
then General settings
then Factory Default

Thanks for your answer

I have done it in both ways.
I think the FIF has problems detecting the memory of the Sansung Galaxy Note 9 (512 Gb).
At the end of precessing the databases sometimes gives an error due to lack of memory space ...

Hi Alofvly

At least you know where this problem come from

If you have not enough free space on your internal memory (internal hard drive), is not surprising that the application can't write all required informations.

Did you try to clean up your internal memory, erasing couple of Go of data (photo, music, other documents)...

Hello Tonio, I think you have not understood the problem. 512 gigabytes would have to be enough. But the FIFno is always able to detect the available space. The IFI may have difficulty reading these great capabilities.

Hi, I have the similar problem. I used Fly is FUN more then one year on my Huawei T3 tablet without any problem. I had two months without subscription and with no database update. I bought subscription for the next year at 18th June and from this time I am not able to import Navigation Database Data for any country (I tried Poland, Hungary, Croatia, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Italy). Import is running and end without error (see attached pictures), but after restart program show "No Naviagation Database Found". Import of the terrain is without any problem. I tried to fix it: 1. Uninstall and Install program, 2. Uninstall program, manually delete program directories, install program, 3. Factory reset of the tablet and Install program. Any from these steps solved it. I reset default config to, but no success. Version of the FIF is 22.50. Thanks for help. Milan

Try to update to the last version: 22.60
