Hello,
I have version 24.10 and made a MBTiles folder to store a map. The app did not detect it at all. It only let me select maps from the RMapSQLite folder. Are you allowed to have more than 1 folder within the map folder? Please help.

I had a similar problem with my 2nd device.
For some reason, the MBTiles folder is seemingly only recognised if FlyIsFun is installed in the Android/data/gps.ils.vor.glasscockpit folder, non on a user specified folder. Moving it to Android.data solved the problem.

Hi Roger

Is your remark valid when FIF is on the main storage memory, or is it concerning cases where FIF data are on the SDcard

another question
My friend in Tunisia are seeking for a nice map to install in background.
Do you know any good source

Cheers

On the SD card, you can only use the Android/Data folder, because FIF creates indexes of the mbtiles databases and therefore needs write access.
This works fine.

In internal memory, the same scheme "Android/Data" works fine as well.
There, you can also specify an own folder, for example /FlyIsFun at top level; in this case detection of mbtiles does not work.
I detected the problem installing on an old tablet running Android 4.4, without write access to the SD card.
I installed FIF in a /FlyIsFun folder and all worked fine, except for the mbtiles.
Petr advised me to rather install FIF in Android/Data and this solved the problem.

Hoping it clarifies...

Unfortunately, it does not work in my case. The FIF package including all folders are stored in the internal memory (android/data/gops.ils.vor.glasscockpit) of the Mipad4 (android 8.1.0). It does not detect the MBTiles folder. The same goes for my other tablet CubeT8. Another problem concerning the CubeT8 is that FIF does not even detect the SD card when I tried to move the folder to it as the internal memory is full, whereas Fltplan Go lives happily in the SD card. Such is android, it seems to work randomly.

Is FIF detecting your sqlitedb maps stored in the "Android/data/gps.ils.vor.glasscockpit/files/Maps/RMapSQLite" folder?
In such case, as a workaround, you coud convert your mbtiles into sqlitedb files; I published a conversion script on this forum.

Make sure your folder names are correct (including upper/lower case letters!)

I have all the maps I need in sqlitedb format and they are working fine in FIF. Since Petr announced the option of MBTiles, I want to make some maps and compare with the result with that from sqlitedb in terms of file size and image quality.

In terms of image and quality, the formats are identical.
The only difference is the numbering scheme used for the tiles.
