Hello!
I'm going to work in the high mountained region and it's very important to have the high resolution of Elevation Datas (as minima 30''). When I download these datas via FIF which resolution I get? And is it possible to use other types of elevation files (.hdt or .asc)?

Hi Dabur,
trying to answer your first question:
As far as I know, SRTM terrain files imported to FiF are based on Void Filled Global Data and have a sampling of 3 arcsec or roughly 90 meters / pixel.
If you expect to have natural terrain features with size around this figure or less (i.e. < 90 m) then undersampling sets in and elevations figures may be underestimated in FIF terrain display. Anything with a size scale larger or around 200-300 meters should be quoted fine.
best,
Marcos

I would like to resample data to 9 arc sec, this is on my Todo list. Then it will be possible to display more zoom in terrain screen.

Resampling terraind data is done...
If you use the app version at least 19.30, available terrain map zoom is up to 60nm.

Great. 60 nm range is useful for planning and flying as well.
