Route edition - map mode

Hello,
During editing the route in the map mode, I encountered a problem that I could not cope with.
Long-tapping on the map dispalys the dialog box.
I can create new waypoint (WPT), name it, and add to the route.
If I long-tap on the existing point (WPT or VFR nav. point, etc.) I can add this point directly to the route without create a new WPT.
And here is my problem.
When I long-tap the existing point, usually the dialog box displays info "No near object" and proposes to create the new WPT.
I have written "usually" because from-time-to-time the dialog box allows me to choose the existing point and add it to the route.
I believe problem concerns the precision I am able to indicate the desirable point on the screen (on the map) with my finger.
I intent to long-tap the existing object but because of the lack of precision I long-tap the point somwhere near.
Is it defined or possible to set the vincinity of the object when I long-tap inside this vincinity it is assumed I pointed out this object?
I mean something like "Max nearest distance" (for searching the navigational database) or "Range for searching METARs" in the "Ranges and distances" in "Preferences" option of "Application Settings".
Or maybe I do something wrong...
Best regards
Krzysztof
