problem with ext. sd since kitkat update

Hi,
since the update to kitkat reading/writing from/to ext. sd doesnt work.
Sometimes the r/w attempts even lead to app crash.

Due to some infos the reason is a change of the permissioning concept/functionality which was not or bad communicated by google.

Is the issue already known ?

Android in version 4.4 reduced access rights to SD card.

Use application SDFix. This will solve your problem. Unfortunately you must root your device before applying SDFix
