StratuX AHRS and Mode-C/Mode-S without ADS-B

hello all,
built up my own stratux system.
stratux version 1.5b2- eu009.
It works perfect on my oneplus one handy,
but
it doesn't work on my galaxy t-585, no AHRS at all.
Same fif version on both devices, ver. 22.70
Strange..!?

Hi Tonio,
today I tried FIF version 22.60 on a smartphone with Android 6.0 and on a tablet with Android 4.0. On both devices the artificial horizon of Stratux works properly.
On my smartphone LG G5 with Android 7.0 it does not work; see my last posts.
So it seems to be a matter of the android version or the screen resolution (2560 x 1440 Pixel).
I will continue testing with other devices and Android versions.
May be that this will help you and other customers.
FIF is an excellent EFB (the best for practicing IFR training in VMC) and Petr Kouril is a brilliant programmer.

Hello

Yesterday, in Tunisia, I was finally able to reflash my Stratux with the European fork of the firmware and to test it :

- Stratux with European fork firmaware " 1.5b2- eu009" and internal GPS
- Fly is Fun 22.70

- Huawei P9 running Android 7
- Huawei P20 Pro running Android 9
- Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 Android 8

ADSB-In (reception), AHRS and slip indicator tested on the the ground, at home.

Remarks
To get AHRS and slip indicator working, Stratux need a perfect satellite reception
If not, Stratux Internal GPS doesn't get the fix
I only received ADSB-In signal

As long as the Stratux was on window sill, Stratux GPS was receiving some satellite info, but Stratux wasn't able to calculate / get a fix

ADSB-In traffic was well displayed

Then I installed the Stratux outside, on a table, in the middle of the terrace, with a full clear view of the sky.
The internal Stratux GPS saw more satellite and Stratux was finaly able to calculate / get a fix.

Everything was back in order

- AHRS and slip indicator were operational
- ADSB-In traffic was well displayed

Having no FLARMs antenna and being in Africa, I didn't get the chance to test Flarm signal...

Conclusion,
It was working fine for me, as soon as the Stratux GPS was able to get its fix

I can't find the fault on my T-585 Samsung Tab A
I have still no stratux at all, no wifi symbol on the map!
I have no problem, seeing all stratux infos at the same time
on my firefox web screen.
Has anyone any ideas what I could do?

by the way
I could handle the dataport of my powerflarm equipment via wifi
so on any monitor I can see the transmitted NMEA datas/ protocol.
It' s a shame, that I cannot manage the datas via FIF.
Maybe there is a difference between stratux and NMEA out protocol?

Setting FIF to get it working with an external device, as the Stratux, is not trivial, without the help of the User Guide

You can find FIF User Guide there http://funair.cz/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=5994

If you download the English or the French version, that have been updated in June this year, you will find in chapter 18.2, some explanation on “how to do”

Hi Tonio,

thank you for information.
Yes , I read the FiF manual.
No problem to manage stratux on different devices.
With my Samsung Tab A, no chance!
I don't get the wifi symbol on the moving map.
I could check that stratux works well at this device by parallel operation
with some web application in the firefox browser.

can we have an update if in addition to stratus we will be able to display traffic info coming from Rosetta Pilotaware equipment?
it was said to be implemented, just curios to know if and when we can expect it.

I have solved my problem, regarding stratux operation with
samsung galaxy tab a 10.1!
Not FIIF was the problem but my OS oreo on my rooted tab.
To swing over to lineage 14.1 handled the stratux missoperation.
All works great now.
