Missing Menu button and Airspace

Postby flyyyer » 20 Mar 2016, 18:09

I seem to now be missing the "menu" button on my Motorola Zoom II Ver 17,63 Andoid 4.0.4 This means that I cannot shutdown FIF or access the other settings? (My Note 3 is OK because the menu access is different)

Also, about a month ago some of the UK airspace around Manchester UK has disappeared? (tried all the settings etc) (Not checked other routes) I am not sure why or what to do to correct this...I have done a nav database update since and still the same, I have never noticed missing airspace on routes before (I always pre-check)

I have looked at this a bit more. In portrait mode.... If you tap in a few places at the bottom EG between the battery symbol and the compass rose you can get the menu bar to reveal. I don't think it was like this before as you had this menu option on the very bottom bar at the opposite end to the "return" symbol?

Another point... I have changed the option from "Full screen" to on and off a few times and I can't detect any difference??

Feedback ...My comments....Extra to the missing "menu" shortcut.
Yes RTFM (nobody does) (I did once)
This just disappeared in the new version and as an experienced user I took some time to find that by pressing the compass rose you could get the menu items to appear.
I understand that the new "Full screen" mode had to then have a way to access the menu features. (i.e. the compass rose)
Of all the users I help support (lots) most (if not all) were switching off the unit to get FIF to close, whether in full screen mode and nearly gave up with the program (no bottom menu bar at all) or normal in screen (no "menu" button)
This seems to be the case with most of the tablet devices. My Note 3 has a separate bottom, off screen, LH button that brings up the menu items so this device is OK.
Would it not be just wise to put that menu button back on the tablets?
Also. The new small usage info. Nobody was reading it and nobody could get rid of it. ( but I can't find it again to read it :-)
Not a moan....just some feedback.

Preferences / Screen settings / Full screen mode

Version 18.01 has FIF helper, which displayed after application launch. The first item is Menu settings...
