Airspace database

Postby MacRob » 02 Jul 2013, 20:12

Hello
How can submissions be made to update the airspace database?
For example, this is a new Canadian airspace:
CYR512 ORANGEVILLE, ON
The airspace within the area bounded by a circle of:
1.5 miles radius centred on
N43°59'41.00" W081°15'50.00"
Designated Altitude – Surface to below 7000 ́
Time of Designation – Ocsl by NOTAM
Cheers,
Rob.

The best way is OpenAir format, because I already made OpenAir import.

look for example here:

Hi Petr,

I got an airspace update problem:

We had a major change in brazilian airspace in the last airac (1313 effective 2013.12.12). All database items imported fine, except the airspaces which were not updated, I tried again taday to be sure that the corresponding checkbox was selected but all airspaces remain from previous cycle (yellow dotted).

thanks,

Marcos

Hi Petr,

nature always find a way...

I made the 5 new important SAO PAULO and RIO DE JANEIRO airspaces by hand and edited them in FIF to complete info. Just sent them to you by e-mail in gia format.

cheers,

Marcos

Error in Airspace database (AU)

Postby James Murphy » 17 Apr 2015, 02:22

Just spotted a error in the Perth (AU) airspace, (R162) on the Northern Western edge, looks like the point has been displaced north.

I have carried out a download of the new airspace file and the error is still there.

Any chance this could be fixed?

Regards
James

The Error is still there, is there any way we can help by updating the errors that we find, even if it goes into a holding folder for review or something before being pushed out. As we do need to fix the issues as we find them, and if you had to do it all the time it would be a full time job.
