Ebookreader / Tablet

Hi Petr,

FLY IS FUN is a great app and arguably the only one making sense in this price region on a mobile phone (e.g. its good to handle, nice functions, good on small displays, reasonable priced) and some of my friends purchased the App, too, due to my recommendation.

However, not long tome ago the free android soaring softwar XCSoar got ported to a Kobo ebook reader. As I do like the eInk displays, having a seperate device purely for navigation on the eink display would be great. Drawback is the monochrome display, but I think there could be a way around this. The Kobo Mini would be suitable, I guess and costs just about 30 Euros. With a GPS Mouse, you'd have FIF on a seperate device and still save energy on your phone.

Then, one of my friends installed the software on a Galaxy Tab, wich has a 10.1 Display. Since FIF is displayed rather large, I was thinking if a split screen would make sense on such a device. If you'd hold it in landscape mode, the left side yould be your normal FIF, the right side could be a PDF Viewer, where you could load Aproach plates or other AIP pages. Or have an other FIF-Screen. Or one could Connect to an AHRS via blueTooth and display it there. (same would be possible with a big eInk Android, though.

What do you think?
