Black line (position and trajectory) when moving the map

Postby RogerF » 08 Sep 2019, 08:58

When moving the map (panning) to center on a point of interest during flight, the black dot + line normally attached to the current position and direction of the aircraft does not move and stays in the middle of the screen.

As a result, it no longer shows the future track, but stays there independently and has no real use anymore.

This also means that that if you center the map on a point of interest and click there, you get the "Position info" display instead of the details of the clicked point.

The workaround is to never center the map on the point that you want to display, but keep it slightly offset, but this is a real annoyance.
I was even looking for an option to disable the "Position Info" click; this function is anyway available from "menu > information > position info".

Ideally, the black line should remain attached to the aircraft position when panning, not to the center of the screen.
This would also solve the other problem.

Hi Roger
As far I understood, Petr idea was that when moving the map, the black line side the elevation in the upper window.
That's why it isn't attached to the aircraft
Agree, it's not trivial and not documented

Ok concerning the reason, but as a result, the flight extrapolation is no longer correct when you fly and like to offset the map for better visibility.

Another annoyance is that when I look for an item, I usually center the screen on it and then click it to get the related information.
What happens is that I always get the "Position info" instead of what I was looking for.
Knowing it, I take care of not centering on the item, but I am regularly caught...

Actually, the position info should better be triggered when clicking on the small aircraft representing the current position than on the center of the screen.

Yes - position info must be locked to aircraft symbol. Next update...
