When nearest points are displayed in the Nav database the sorting menu behaves strangely:

1) Top menu ("Name" and "Dist" buttons)
- "Name" appears initially as selected while the sorting is obviously by distance ("Nearest")
- A short tap on "Name" effectively sorts by name
- After that, it is no longer possible to change the sorting, because "Dist" is greyed out.

2) Using the top right button (3 horizontal bars), I get a submenu with a "Sort" button, but the selection does not work there.

This could be a side effect of the recent improvement implemented in the sorting function.

It's normal if red cross is on the compas.... FIF cannot see your position.

C'est normal Roger, si FIF affiche sa croix rouge sur le compas, il ne peut afficher ta distance entre ton appareil et l'objet de ta recherche, il te faut donc assez de satellites pour enlever la croix et tout devrait rentrer dans l'ordre.

OK, that a GPS fix is required for "Nearest".

However, I meant nearest after a long tap on an area of the map.
In this case, FIF shows the nearest points related to the tapped point, but sorting does not work from there.

Hi, I had a look and it is sorted OK, but a little bit confuzing. It is sorted by distance, but distance from tapped position, not from your current position. But at the list, there are displayed WPT distances from you current position.

For Example. You are at LKZA, GPS fix OK. You long tap at LKMT / Nearest / airports.
First item at the list will be LKMT, because it is nearest tapped position, but the distance displayed at the list will be bigger then LKZA (distance from current position)

OK for the distance from current GPS position instead of the tapped position.

However, something remains fuzzy, as explained in this test:
- activation of GPS, locating me at home between EBLG and EBTX, but closer to EBLG)
1- long tap on EBBN > Nearest > Nearest airports => airports are correctly sorted by distance to the tapped point: EBBN, EDKV, EBSP,....
2- tap on "Name" => sorting by name of the previously displayed aiports: EBBN, EBSP, EBTX,...
3- tap on "Dist" => sorting by distance to the current GPS position, but not showing EBLG.

The problem is that in case 3, sorting is based on GPS, but the list of airfields is limited to the selection made in case 1, so that some airfields are omitted even if closer to the current GPS position.
