Hi.

TMZ zones with squak and radio listening frequency

But in the download area is only a version from 10/2016

How to get an actual one?

Best regards Christian

Hi.

I send an email to open flight map org

And they can provide you with the newest map data.
It's only to intigrated in the download area.

This map is not only a map. It's also shows a lot of additional flight Infos.

And it quiet up to date to the official flight maps.

As long as the air structure is not completely integrated in flyisfun its help not to enter in existing TMZ zones etc.

Special the topic of TMZ with squak and radio listening frequency is solved.

If I can help to bring the German airspace up to date, give me an advice how to to it. Special, how to bring the additional frequency and squak Infos in a uniform way to the airspace.

Best regards Christian

Hi folks,
on openflightmaps.xxx there are newer OFM-map files!
in different formats. (Geotiff , mapbox format,epsg3857 tites).
Can FiF handle one of this formats?
How about aixm, openair,cup,arinc424 interfaces?
I am a bit confused with all that expression?!!
Is there someone who can explain a bit more?
Thanks a lot
Cheers harry

Hi

Try this

1 - Go to Open Flight Maps web site
https://openflightmaps.org/live/

2 - Select the region

3 - Chose “Get latest products”

4 – in “Application format”
Chose “EPSG3857 Tiles”
and then
“download”

5 – Once downloaded on the device, unzip the file

6 – Open Fly is Fun

7 - select “Downloads” ->then “Topographical Maps”

8 – In “Maps library” select “Import” -> then “Slippy Mercator/Zoom/Column”

9 – go to the files that need to be imported
then open the “unzipped file”
then in this folder open folder called “Original”
then in this folder open folder called “merged” *
then in this folder open folder called “256”
then in this folder open folder called “latest”

Here you are, you will see folders called “10” – “11” – “6” – “7” – “8” – “9”
Don’t open them

10 - Select the “Green arrow”
a windows is popping up showing zoom level that will be imported and inviting to enter a name

11 - Give a name

12 – Validate selecting the green arrow
Importation starts, after you know

* if instead of “merged” folder you select “base” folder you will get the map as background without “aero” data
very convenient within FIF
* if instead of “merged” folder you select “aero” folder you will get “aero” data without map in background
useless

Have fun and safe flights

Hi Tonio
THX a lot for your instruction!!
Just another question regarding your
Point 9!
What do I have to extract?(..."need to import"..)
All files or the merged files or the Aero files vor the base files?
Please again, give me an idea what the difference is?
I hope it looks like these ofm(ICAO) maps!??
Thanks again for assistance.

and costs 850MB storage

Hi

You will find enclosed a PDF user guide with screen copies
May be it will help you

ZIP files imported from Open Flight Maps site are huge
It could be faster doing it via a PC, unzipping the file and then transferring only required data on the Android handset

If you like download the Open Flight base Maps in RMAPS SQLITE here are some links.

@kitercuda (stands for?.. :) )
A really great APP !!

Do you think, that you can manage
these adsb/anticollision issue in the closer
future?
Data received with dvbt dongles,
prepard with dump1090 and
get visible in your FiF...
I would pay another 30€ or something like
that....
