Troubles with application

No GPS in trail version

Postby Florian » 14 Nov 2014, 19:36

Hi every body,

I am trying out FF on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 but I could not get any GPS signal. With Google Maps app I get my location with an accuracy of maybe one or two hundert feet at the same time.

I enabled my development configs and tried with and without allowing mock locations. The only thing which worked is using an app called "X-Plane to GPS" which gets position data from the X-Plane flight simulator and produces a GPS receiver with a simulated accuracy of 3 feet.

First I thought it might be part of the trail strategy that only the inbuilt simulator works. But after simulating a GPS receiver with X-Plane successfully I am more wondering if FF only accepts GPS signals with a certain accuracy. Does any body know something about this?

Hello, I have similar problem - have full version of FF isntalled on Xiaomi HM1. Applicatioon gets GPS signal but in very poor quality, it often jump OFF and ON again , in the same time Google, Trekbuddy and GPS test gets signal from 9 satellites.

Did you already find answers to your question?

thanks Ondic

- There is no GPS signal limitation in trial version.
- GPS accuracy can be any value.
- FIF do not accept position from the other sources (WiFi, GSM)
- If FIF does not get GPS position 3 seconds, it shows GPS lost.
