Yandex maps position error

Dear Petr,

First of all, thanks for your wonderful app!

I use offline yandex maps with the app. Every time I use them I get a latitudinal position error of about 20-30 km. I normally use SAS.Planet to export maps into the sqlite database, but I have also tried RMaps and an older version of MobAC (the current one doesn't support yandex maps, as well as many other map sources) with the same result.

After doing some research I found a discussion of a similar problem here. As it turns out, yandex maps use a slightly different map projection (Mercator ellipsoid) which accounts for the error.

Some apps (like the Locus by the above link) can handle this peculiarity. Could you somehow fix it too, please?

Oh, did I forget to thank you for the amazing app? :)

That's great news!

However, I am not aware of any vector maps of Russia suitable for VFR. Could you give us some hints about which map formats FiF will handle? Have to be prepared, you know :)

BTW, RMaps can also do Mercator on ellipsoid.
