Hey
I've done the same map, one for GPS ILS and another one for Oruxmap
Oruxmap looks great, but in our map the quality is not very good.
I put quality JPEG 100, Is it possible to improve the quality of the map?

I know, Mobile Atlas Creator is not ideal source for flying. I am searching for vector map source. If anybody has idea, please tell me.

Is it possible to change the MOBAC zoom level which is used for the different zoom levels in Fly is Fun? I wonder if the quality would improve if for example Fly is Fun zoom of 4NM used MOBAC zoom level 12 or 13? I believe the JPG tile size is forced to be 256 x 256 in RMAP files, so Fly if Fun is losing detail based on the small tile size? Using a higher zoom would be more tiles on the screen.
I've tried only loading zoom 13 and 8, to see if I can force it to use zoom 13 tiles, but it just uses zoom 8.

Customize zooms is at my ToDo list...

New version 11.4 installed and the map zoom level feature is great! I'm using the NZ topo maps, and setting the custom level gives me exactly what I need.
Unfortunately I am getting some application crashes moving between different zoom levels. It will pause for a few seconds while it is loading the map, and the the application will crash with "Unfortunately, FLY is FUN has stopped".
Thanks very much for the quick feature add, and let me know what other details you need on the app crashes? My sqlitedb file is 152MB, running on a tablet with Android 4.1.1, with 866MB RAM (410MB free with FisF loaded). I've also tried it on 2 other phones, and have the same application crashes, so it's not device specific.
Thanks
Mark

Hi, when exactly application crash?
After pressing Zoom+ or Zoom-?
Which MOBAC zoom levels are you using?
Can you simulate crash when you are on the ground and you have internet connection? After crash application ask you, if send message to developer, please select yes.

It's when switching between the zoom moods, either + or -. I found it to fail most of all going to 15NM zoom level, but it also crashed on other levels. There is a definite pause after the new zoom level shows the airspace and waypoints, but no map is displayed for 1 or 2 seconds, and then it crashes. I am using for this file nztopomaps.com with zoom levels 13, 12, 11, 10, and 9. I didn't bother with 8 as it doesn't show enough detail.
Next time it crashes I will send to developer. I'll also try a smaller selection in MOBAC with the same zoom levels to see if it's related to file size.
This is on the ground, and I use fakeGPS to simulate my location. This has never caused any problems in the past, but I can try it without it loaded and just use my last location.
EDIT: I can consistently get it to crash on all 3 devices if I use zoom 15NM with MOBAC zoom level 12. It will even crash 100% of the time when I load the application at that level. The only way to stop it is to quickly zoom to 10NM, long press on compass rose, and then change zoom to 15NM, and MOBAC zoom to something less than 12 and click save
EDIT2: Same problem with OpenStreetMap MapQuest as the atlas source, using zoom levels 13, 12, 11, 10, and 9. Problem occurs 100% if I used zoom 15NM and MOBAC level 12. 11 and 10 seem to intermittent.
